Biography & Artistic Statement

About
Alexia Medici (b. 1980, Malta) is a visual artist and independent curator based between Barcelona and Malta since 2006. Her projects weave together social narratives, history, and architectural context, often site-specific, reflecting on the passage of time and its imprint on spaces and communities alexia medici.

Statement
“My curatorial projects often serve as a commentary on contemporary social contexts, viewed through a historical lens. I am particularly drawn to the temporal nature of knowledge and its inherent subjectivity. Through site-specific dialogues, my work weaves together historical context, architectural space, and the lived experiences of local communities.” alexia medici
