Yayyyy!!! The first site specific exhibition of «Va començar amb l’aigua» (It Started with Water) 💦 is coming along beautifully!!
Join us next Saturday for the presentation of Logan B. Fields’ site specific artwork at 11:00 am. First we will discover a place that is normally closed to the public, and then we will give a guided tour.
Did you know that this sculpture by Sergi Aguilar (Barcelona, 1946) was originally located in front of the Diputación Archives, and was moved to its current location to protect the underground tunnels that connect the pavilions to the kitchen? The artwork is intimately connected to the encompassing space found in the gardens of La Maternitat and its location in les Corts: in Carrer de Mejía Lequerica.
🥁 🔜 Soon.. very soon the artworks from the @fundaciosunol website will be installed around the Park of can Mantega. Can you guess which artwork it is?
Listen to Josep Miracle’s «Quatre coses del meu temps» (1976) at the park in can Mantega where it was originally intended, or wherever you are. Find it via the QR stickers on site which connect to the website of la Fundació Suñol, or directly through the website itself. We recommend the use of headphones 🎧
Up to 1960 can Mantega was the last large expanse of agricultural land in Sants. Today’s park area (circled) is only a part of the land that reached until Carrer de Galileu (previously known as Carrer del Nord).
Some of QR code stickers were so loved that a “ninja collector” 🥷 grabbed many of them for his/her personal collection 💸😅😂
A little info about the project image: This photo was taken in 1936 and shows an everyday scene in Carrer dels Panissars in Sants, with Carrer del Miracle in the background.
